Nearly three decades after its theatrical debut, Paul W.S. Anderson's cult classic, *Event Horizon*, is set to expand its universe with a gripping prequel. IDW Publishing has announced *Event Horizon: Dark Descent*, a five-issue comic book series that promises to delve into the chilling events leading up to the film and uncover the harrowing fate of the original crew aboard the Event Horizon ship.
Crafted by writer Christian Ward, known for his work on *Batman: City of Madness*, and artist Tristan Jones, celebrated for *Aliens: Defiance*, *Dark Descent* also features the vibrant colors of Pip Martin (*That Texas Blood*) and stunning cover art by Ward, Jeffrey Alan Love, Martin Simmonds, and Joshua Hixson. This creative team is poised to deliver a narrative that not only honors the original film but also enhances its lore.
