EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends
Electronic Arts, known as EA, is currently running an exclusive playtest for their new game, City Life Game with Friends, on Android devices. This playtest is a part of EA's broader initiative, The Sims Project Rene, aimed at gathering valuable feedback on game performance and player interactions. If you're an Android user with a device running at least Android 12 and equipped with 4GB of RAM, you might be eligible to participate in this limited-time event.
The playtest for City Life Game with Friends will be available until April 4th, 2025, but be aware that the end times vary by region. It will conclude at 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest period ends, the game will no longer be accessible, and you'll need to uninstall it from your device.
Keep in mind that this playtest isn't a full version of the game, nor does it fully represent what the final product will look like. Instead, it offers a glimpse into the direction EA might be taking with this project. It's clear that EA is exploring a variety of innovative ideas through this playtest.
What’s in Store?
Once you're part of the playtest, you'll have the opportunity to create a character that reflects your personal style and mood. The game's neighborhood is vibrant and full of activities. You can visit the Thrift Shop to find new outfits, relax at the Café, or participate in community events.
The game encourages collaboration among players to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. It emphasizes social interaction and community building, allowing you to connect with others over shared interests in art, music, or engaging conversations.
If you're interested in joining the playtest, head over to the Google Play Store, but make sure you're located in one of the designated playtest regions. If this isn't for you, stay tuned for our next update on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th anniversary.
