Dynasty Warriors: Origins, while not open-world, features a sizable map that expands as the story progresses. This expansion can lead to significant travel time, especially when tackling side content. Fortunately, fast travel is available, significantly reducing this burden.

How to Utilize Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Fast travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is facilitated through Waymarks accessible via the in-game map. Before using a Waymark for fast travel, it must first be unlocked. To unlock, approach a Waymark on the world map and press X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox). Once unlocked, it appears on the map screen, enabling instant travel.

Accessing the map is possible in two ways: interact with an unlocked Waymark on the world map (outside of battle), or pause the game and navigate to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation players can expedite this process by pressing the DualSense touchpad while on the world map.

On the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark reveals nearby key locations and battles. Press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to toggle information about these locations. Use Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to cycle through available battles and locations. Selecting a target will automatically move the cursor to the nearest Waymark.
