Dragon Quest X Mobile Launch Exclusive to Japan

Author : Jack Apr 25,2025

Long-time fans of the Dragon Quest series are well-acquainted with its diverse entries and spin-offs. However, Dragon Quest X, an MMORPG-like title, didn't receive the attention it deserved. Exciting news for Japanese fans: Dragon Quest X Offline, a single-player version of the game, is set to launch on mobile devices in Japan. Available tomorrow for iOS and Android, this offline version offers a discounted premium purchase option.

As reported by Gematsu, Dragon Quest X Offline brings the unique experience of the game to mobile, complete with real-time combat and other MMORPG elements that set it apart from other entries in the series. Originally released in 2012, the offline version made its debut on consoles and PC in 2022. Interestingly, Ubitu had plans to bring Dragon Quest X to mobile as far back as 2013.

Sadly, fans outside of Japan shouldn't hold their breath for an international release just yet. The original Dragon Quest X was a Japan-only release, and there's currently no news on a global launch for the offline mobile version. It's a disappointment, especially for avid fans like myself who have spent countless hours with games like Sentinels of the Starry Sky and are eager to explore different iterations of the series on mobile.
