How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To embark on this feline adventure, you'll need to navigate to the Omi region, which becomes accessible around the midpoint of the story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and leveled up before setting off northeast to reach Omi.

Your destination lies within Lake Biwa, the expansive body of water central to the Omi region. To reach this location efficiently, it's advisable to secure a boat from nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, you can swim if you're up for a more challenging approach.

Your target is the large island in the middle of Lake Biwa, located just northwest of Azuchi. As you approach, you'll discover Okishima Island, which features a Kakurega where you can rest. The presence of fish being dried near the docks hints at the abundance of food, which is perfect for a certain type of animal.

To immerse yourself in the company of cats on Okishima Island, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them, as this adds them to your collection for use in your Hideout. Keep an eye out for rare kittens, which are particularly elusive elsewhere.

While most Leaps of Faith unlock new map locations, the true treasure of Okishima is your newfound feline companions. After exploring and taking the Leap of Faith into a haystack, there isn't much else to do on the island except revisit the cats. You'll also return here later during Yasuke’s storyline, so keep that in mind.
