Darkside Detective Unveils Sequel,

Akupara Games has recently released a flurry of titles. Following their deck-building game, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a quirky puzzle adventure, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both released simultaneously!).

Exploring Twin Lakes' Supernatural Side

The Darkside Detective plunges players into the perpetually gloomy, fog-shrouded city of Twin Lakes, a place where the bizarre and uncanny are everyday occurrences. The game follows Detective Francis McQueen and his endearingly inept partner, Officer Patrick Dooley, as they navigate the underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department.

Players tackle nine unique cases, each a bite-sized mystery brimming with humor and the absurd. From time-traveling enigmas and tentacled horrors to carnival secrets and mafia zombies, the point-and-click gameplay offers a diverse and engaging experience. Check out the trailer below!

Worth a Play?

A loving tribute to pop culture, The Darkside Detective is packed with references to classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. The cases themselves boast intriguing titles like "Malice in Wonderland," "Tome Alone," and "Don of the Dead," hinting at the eclectic mix of mysteries awaiting players.

The game's humor is a standout feature, infused into every pixel. Priced at $6.99 on the Google Play Store, The Darkside Detective is a fun and engaging experience. A Fumble in the Dark can also be enjoyed independently, offering a standalone adventure on Google Play as well.
