The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues to unfold. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is slated for a 2025 release, introducing fresh endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several new story quests paving the way for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic story of Dalaran's destruction, though it wasn't immediately available at the patch's launch.

Updated January 7, 2025, by Paul Woodward: The recent campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may never fully recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline, offering a fitting farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. For a complete understanding and to avoid spoilers, it's recommended to catch up on the main story beforehand. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises these quests:

• Standing in the Way
• No Breathing Room
• Together, Alone
• The Voice
• Ringing in the Deeps
• Good Help These Days
• Hey, What's Going On?
• Haywired and Hostile
• Built to Blast
• Bat Versus World
• Found Friends

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. While not part of the main campaign, her quest offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

Unlocking the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week wait was implemented for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this delay has been removed. However, you must complete both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions) to unlock it.

If you're unsure of your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). If Khadgar is present (on or after January 7th), you can receive the quest. His absence indicates unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list is below:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
