Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Expanding Horizons with Mongols and Asia
Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting roadmap for Crusader Kings III's upcoming content in 2025, collectively known as Chapter IV. This chapter focuses on expanding the game's scope into Asia, introducing new mechanics and regions for players to delve into.
The year starts with the release of the cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This elegantly designed pack enhances player customization with six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, allowing you to tailor your rulers' appearance to your heart's content.
Come April 28, the first major expansion, Khans of the Steppe, will launch, inviting players to take the reins of the Mongols. As the Great Khan, you'll lead your nomadic horde on a conquest to dominate and expand your empire across neighboring lands.
In the third quarter (July–September), Coronations will roll out a new ceremonial mechanic. This DLC lets you solidify your reign through majestic coronation events, complete with lavish celebrations, solemn oaths, and pivotal decisions that shape your kingdom's future. It also introduces new advisor and vassal interactions, enriching the political landscape of your realm.
The chapter wraps up with the monumental expansion, All Under Heaven, set to release later in the year. This expansion opens up the entire East Asian map, featuring intricately detailed regions of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. It offers players expansive new territories to explore, conquer, and govern.
Throughout the year, Paradox will also release patches aimed at refining game systems and enhancing AI behavior. The developers are keen on incorporating player feedback, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26, ensuring the community's voice shapes the future of Crusader Kings III.
