Conan Barbarian Gameplay Trailer Drops for Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character showcases. Yesterday's esports trailer teased T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition to the roster. Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, launching next week for premium edition owners, with a gameplay trailer released today.

Conan's gameplay demonstrates a classic powerhouse archetype. His attacks appear devastating, though his mobility seems less emphasized. His sword's extended reach may compensate for this, but matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be intriguing to observe.

While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some other MK1 finishers. The acid-drowning execution feels somewhat underwhelming. However, compelling gameplay is paramount, and Conan promises an enjoyable experience.

Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday, while all other players can expect Conan's arrival on January 28th.
