How to Complete Canker in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The “Canker” side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is an early-game opportunity to acquire a mace and some Groschen. To begin, you must first complete “The Jaunt.” Here’s how to tackle “Canker”:

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the quest, speak with Gules in Semine. Conveniently, you can start this during Lord Semine and Agnes' wedding, while Gules is enjoying a drink. Alternatively, find him on patrol in Semine. Ask about his former bandit gang and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker is your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Accepting the quest marks Canker's location on your map, north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared for potential ambushes from bandits along the path. Choose your approach: stealth, combat, or a hasty retreat. While these bandits aren't overly challenging, skirmishes can deplete your health before the main encounter.

Canker's camp is nestled within the mountains, easily missed unless you navigate a narrow passage. Prepare for combat before entering, as several bandits, including Canker, await. Note that some bandits may flee depending on the order of elimination, but you must defeat most of them. Canker himself, however, will not retreat, ensuring you can complete the objective.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

Once Canker and the bandits are defeated, loot Canker's body. You must obtain the Light Mace, though other loot is yours for the taking. Return to Gules to complete the quest.

After completing “Canker,” wait a full in-game day before starting the next quest in this chain, “Handsome Charlie.” Speak to Gules again to begin.
