How to Unlock 'Under the Straw Hat' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Before diving into "Under the Straw Hat," you'll need to initiate the "In Vino Veritas" side quest, which becomes available upon arriving in Kuttenberg. Head to the west side of the city, where you'll find Casper Rudolf offering free wine samples. He's keen on improving his wine and needs your help to gather crucial information.

You have two pathways to proceed: either directly engage with Havel by showcasing your wine knowledge or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta to enhance your understanding. If you choose to speak with Havel directly, ensure you're well-dressed and clean; otherwise, he won't give you the time of day. When conversing with him, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" as your responses to extract the information Casper needs. Once you've gleaned the insights, return to Casper to relay your findings.

Access the Vineyard

Casper's next request involves infiltrating a vineyard north of Kuttenberg to learn more about the incense Havel mentioned. To avoid trespassing, follow the main road into the vineyard and speak with the recruiter, who will officially introduce you to the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Continue along the road, pass the guard, and locate Jerome on a bench. Inform Jerome that you've been instructed to report there, and he'll brief you on working at the vineyard.

Working at the Vineyard

Your job at the vineyard commences the following day, so spend the night at an inn and return in the morning. To earn your wages, you'll need to move sacks to their designated spots and gather plants like Thistle around the vines. However, if you're solely focused on the secret incense, head to the wine cellar located downstairs in the main building where you met Jerome. Accessing the cellar requires either a lockpick or stealing the keys from Jerome.

In the cellar, locate a chest and take all the Sulphur Wicks inside to fulfill the main objective. For an enhanced reward, consider picking up seedlings for Casper, which can be found across the main building from the entrance door. Remember, these areas are restricted, so be swift to avoid detection.

After completing your tasks, report to Jerome at the end of the day to collect your pay, or return directly to Casper with the wicks and, if applicable, the seedlings. Successfully completing these steps will conclude both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas" quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, setting the stage for further adventures like "Master Schindel's Toys."
