"Castle Doombad: Defend Your Lair, Now on Android!"

Castle Doombad is back with a bang, now available on Android as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay! Developed by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1 on mobile platforms, this tower defense strategy game first hit the scene in 2014. Grumpyface Studios, known for their successful titles like Steven Universe: Attack the Light, Unleash the Light, and Teeny Titans, initially planned to remake Castle Doombad. However, they decided to split the project into two versions: Free To Slay for mobile and Classic for PC and console.

Castle Doombad Classic, a remastered version of the 2014 original with enhanced content and features, is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam later this year. Additionally, fans can look forward to the sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, which is currently in development.

Let Loose Your Inner Villain in Castle Doombad: Free To Slay!

In Castle Doombad: Free To Slay, you can unleash your inner villain, revel in evil laughter, and wreak havoc. The game challenges you to construct the most nefarious lair imaginable while defending it against the ever-annoying righteous heroes. Here, traps and minions become your arsenal, flipping the usual gameplay on its head.

Castle Doombad: Free To Slay is free to play, supported by ads and optional in-app purchases. Players can dive into the full original game featuring 70 stages, daily challenges, and endless modes. The game boasts over 30 traps to unlock and upgrade, as well as more than 100 collectibles and items.

Additionally, the game includes an unlockable cosmetics system called 'spoils,' allowing you to adorn your Dark Lord and his control room with various evil artifacts and loot. These can be paired with your own 'Baddie Bonus' perks for a personalized touch.

Enhancing the gameplay further is the new roguelite mode, 'Dr. Lord Evilstein’s Roguevenge.' In this mode, you'll defend randomly-generated castle layouts and collect nefarious Nightmares, which grant a range of villainous new powers and abilities.
