Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1
Tomorrow marks an exciting milestone for Monster Hunter Wilds with the launch of its first Title Update, featuring quests designed to challenge players with competitive time-based objectives. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, emphasizing their commitment to a fair and enjoyable gaming experience.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom made it clear: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This warning underscores the developer's dedication to maintaining integrity within the game.
Moreover, Capcom cautioned players about the risks of participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters. Such actions could lead to invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for the entire party. The company advised, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," and encouraged reporting any fraudulent activity encountered during quests.
The competitive quests introduced in Title Update 1 promise attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. These rewards will be distributed to all participants, with additional items granted based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. Given the significance of these rewards, Capcom's stringent measures against cheating are understandable and necessary to ensure fairness.
These quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub in Suja. To participate, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Be sure to prioritize this upon the release of Title Update 1 in Monster Hunter Wilds. For further details, you can review the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
