Black Myth: Wukong Leaked Ahead of Release
Black Myth: Wukong Leak Prompts Plea for Spoiler Avoidance
With the release of Black Myth: Wukong rapidly approaching (August 20th), developer Game Science has urged players to refrain from spreading leaked gameplay footage. The plea follows the recent emergence of unauthorized game content online.
The leak, widely circulated on Chinese social media platform Weibo, features videos showcasing unreleased game segments. Producer Feng Ji responded directly to the situation, emphasizing the importance of preserving the game's intended experience. He highlighted that the game's immersive qualities and sense of discovery are significantly diminished by spoilers, relying heavily on the player's initial curiosity.
Feng appealed to fans to actively avoid viewing and sharing leaked material, urging them to respect the anticipation of fellow players. He specifically requested that players protect those who wish to remain unspoiled, stating, "If a friend around you clearly says that he doesn't want to be spoiled about the game, please help protect them." Despite the leak, Feng expressed confidence that the game's unique experiences will still resonate with players, regardless of prior exposure to leaked content.
Black Myth: Wukong is available for pre-order and launches August 20th, 2024, at 10 AM UTC+8 on PS5, Steam, Epic Games Store, and WeGame.
