Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remake Tomorrow
After months of speculation and leaks, Bethesda is on the verge of officially announcing the remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is set for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can tune in via YouTube and Twitch.
The official Bethesda Twitter/X account teased the announcement with an image featuring a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, hinting strongly at what's to come.
Rumors of an Oblivion remake have been circulating for years, gaining momentum with various leaks. Initially, a 2020 Bethesda release schedule, revealed during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, suggested an Oblivion remaster was planned for fiscal year 2022. Although that window passed, newer leaks in January of this year described the project as a full remake, developed by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The most recent leaks last week, originating from Virtuos' website, included images of the remake in progress, further solidifying the rumors.
If these leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. A Deluxe Edition is also expected, featuring the infamous horse armor alongside the standard version.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow for the official confirmation and more exciting details about this highly anticipated remake.
