Thousands to Test New Battlefield Features
EA has unveiled Battlefield Labs — an exclusive closed beta platform for testing upcoming series entries. Developers showcased brief pre-alpha gameplay footage alongside the announcement.
Battlefield Labs: Behind Closed Doors Testing
The invitation-only Battlefield Labs will allow selected participants to evaluate foundational gameplay mechanics — though not all tested features will appear in the final product. Access requires signing a non-disclosure agreement covering all gameplay elements. Initial test phases will feature Conquest and Breakthrough modes, prioritizing combat mechanics and destruction systems before progressing to balance testing.
Registration Now Open Across Platforms
EA has initiated pre-registration for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series platforms. Selected participants will receive invitations progressively, starting with thousands in initial waves before expanding to broader regional testing.
The shooter has reached its "critical development phase" according to the development teams. While no release window has been confirmed, the project involves collaborative development across four EA studios: DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
