"Avatar: Seven Havens Revealed, Post-Legend of Korra"

Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios have officially unveiled a thrilling new addition to the beloved Avatar franchise: "Avatar: Seven Havens." This announcement comes as a special tribute to the 20th anniversary of "Avatar: The Last Airbender." The creators, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are bringing fans a fresh 2D animated series that promises 26 episodes of captivating storytelling.

"Avatar: Seven Havens" will introduce audiences to a young Earthbender who steps into the role of the Avatar after Korra. Set in a world reeling from a cataclysmic event, the series follows this new Avatar on a perilous journey. Rather than being hailed as a savior, she is branded as a potential destroyer of humanity. Faced with threats from both human and spirit realms, she and her long-lost twin must unravel their mysterious past and protect the Seven Havens, the last bastions of civilization.

In a statement, Konietzko and DiMartino expressed their excitement about expanding the Avatar universe, saying, "When we created the original series, we never imagined we’d still be expanding the world decades later. This new incarnation of the Avatarverse is full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters."

The series will be divided into two seasons, each comprising 13 episodes, titled Book 1 and Book 2. DiMartino and Konietzko are co-creating the show alongside executive producers Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi. While the cast has yet to be announced, anticipation is high for this new chapter in the Avatar saga.

"Avatar: Seven Havens" marks the first mainline TV series from Avatar Studios, which is also working on a full-length animated movie featuring an adult Aang. Scheduled for release in theaters on January 30, 2026, this film will take audiences on a new adventure with the beloved character.

As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations, Avatar Studios is also launching a range of new books, comics, concerts, toys, and a game on Roblox, ensuring fans have plenty to look forward to as they celebrate this milestone in the Avatar universe.
