Studio Wildcard has recently shared an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing nearly two years' worth of thrilling updates. The remaster of the popular survival crafting game, ARK: Survival Evolved, initially launched in early access in late November 2023. Since then, Studio Wildcard has been consistently delivering regular content updates to enhance the ARK: Survival Ascended experience.
On January 11, the developer, based in Redmond, Washington, unveiled its comprehensive roadmap for the game, which extends until late 2026. The first major update isn't a content addition but a significant technical patch that will transition ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade is expected to bring notable performance enhancements. Concurrently, Studio Wildcard plans to reinstate support for Nvidia's frame generation, which had been temporarily removed in the latter half of 2024 due to engine-related issues.
ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will also continue Studio Wildcard's efforts to restructure the game's data, enabling players to download ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs individually. This selective approach aims to manage the game's install size more effectively. Following the update, new content is scheduled for April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.
In June 2025, another ARK: Survival Ascended map will be introduced as paid DLC. Details about this map are expected to be revealed in the early spring of 2025. Additionally, in August 2025, another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will be added to the game.
Looking ahead to 2026, Studio Wildcard will focus on remastering ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. ARK: Survival Ascended will receive Genesis: Part 1 in April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Both parts will be accompanied by segments of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop previously announced as part of the game's season pass. A remastered version of the Fjordur map is slated for release in December 2026 as a free update. Furthermore, three more Fantastic Tames are planned to be introduced throughout 2026.
While the roadmap provides a broad overview, Studio Wildcard may have additional surprises in store for ARK: Survival Ascended over the next two years, making it an exciting time for fans of the game.
