6 ImagesThese five cards form a "cycle," sharing common design elements across Magic's colors. Each card is a cost-effective, common-rarity creature that features an ability linked to one of Tarkir's three-color clans, alongside another ability that converts mana into a color from that clan.

“Three-color limited environments require robust mana fixing across all rarities,” explains Wizards of the Coast Senior Game Designer Adam Prosak. “Our goal was to enable a wide variety of decks to access mana fixing, leading us to develop numerous designs focused on resolving mana issues. These creatures not only contribute to the board but also aid in mana development, unlike tapped lands which solely focus on mana production and often cause players to fall behind.”
